Day 1 – Transfer From Medan to Bukit Lawang
Private transfer from either Kualanamu airport (KNO) or from your choice of hotels in Medan city to Bukit Lawang (approx. 4 hrs journey).
On arrival, you can either relax in your room, take a dip in the river or have a little walk to see the local area and enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings.

Day 2 – First Day of Trek
Leave your hotel at 0900hrs after you have enjoyed breakfast.
You will go venture through the rubber plantation before entering the Gunung-Leuser National Park, where you will begin your jungle experience.
During your trek, you should be able to see some of the famous flora, fauna and wildlife straight away, including our much-loved Orang-utans and Thomas Leaf monkeys.
Regular fruit and water breaks as well as a packed lunch with provide you the energy you require.
At approx. 1600hrs, you will arrive at the jungle camp where you can enjoy a little swim in the river whilst the team prepare dinner for you.
The team will keep you supplied with tea, coffee and amusing stories from their time growing up in the local area and their many experiences in the jungle!

Day 3 – Second Day of Trek
Wake up to the beautiful jungle and enjoy a delicious breakfast by the river, before continuing your adventure into the deeper parts looking out for the shyer wildlife that hides inside.
You will again reach your next camp at approx. 1600hrs. Time for another swim and time to relax whilst the jungle kitchen cooks you up another feast.

Day 4 – Third and Last Day of Trek
Wake up to the beautiful jungle and enjoy a delicious breakfast by the river. A few hours’ trek back into the jungle to enjoy the wildlife, before heading back to the river to for a local raft back to the village.

Day 5 – Village Tour
A more relaxing day around the local villages by becek (tuk tuk) for a few hours followed by your own personal time to chill out by the river or on your balcony.
You will visit; a palm sugar plantation and see how the sap is turned into brown sugar, a local tofu factory, the local rice fields and the rice processing plant, a local coconut shack to enjoy fresh young coconut.

Day 6 – Option 1, Bat Cave Exploration and BBQ by the River (5-6 hours)
Our guide will take you approx. 3 km south of from the hotel (45 minutes’ walk).
You will be able to see the bats as they are resting during the day. You explore the cave system with your guide and hopefully spot some of the other cave inhabitants (swallows, snakes, cave crickets etc.)
After the Bat Cave, you will be taken to the Landak river – which is a very peaceful river and perfect for swimming. You will then enjoy a riverside BBQ of chicken or fish, with rice and fruit, whilst appreciating your surroundings. You will then walk back to the hotel.

Day 6 – Option 2 – Bohorok River Rafting and BBQ (4 hours)
Experience the excitement of the Bohorok river. Our guides tie large tubes together to create very stable rafts.
Suitable for all ages – There are a few small rapids to enjoy but there are plenty of sections where you can just lay back and enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way.
A short 1km walk to the starting point where you will then raft approximately 12 km downstream.
You will stop after a 60-90 mins to enjoy a riverside BBQ of chicken or fish, with rice and fruit.

Day 7 – Transfer From Bukit Lawang to Medan
Private transfer from Bukit Lawang to either Kualanamu airport (KNO) or from your choice of hotels in Medan city (approx. 4 hrs journey).
